Escape to Europe! (This could become an annual tradition)

Hello everyone!

Last year's trip to Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy was so spectacular I decided to repeat it and even invite some friends.  This year's adventure is in Bergamo, Italy.  Bergamo is in the northern part of the country, about 30 miles away from Milan, Lago di Como, and is at the base of the mountains.   There are hardly any Americans here, so we are enjoying the anonymity.

If you want to join next year please let me know and I'll put you on the invite list.

Here are a bunch of photos from the first week.
Found Brenda and Duncan at JFK looking lost and alone until they saw me.

A walk towards Alta Citta, the high city.

It isn't what you think.  I think.

Duncan read about gold Antonia Locatelli (or something).  He was a founding father of Bergamo.

Up into the hills.

They like Nutella and other assorted goodies in Europe.

Looking up at the old city.

First lunch!

Old City.

Finally on the bikes!

I'll have to add my travel woes, but the lucky part was that the rental place left Chris's bike with me a week early so I was able to ride this bike with sneaks and it was fine.

Loved it... super steep with paw prints!

An amazing playground in the old city.  Hopefully seeing police tribute band there tomorrow.

And now it is bed time so I will keep posting more pics later...
